The Regional Chief of Habib Bank Ltd Quetta, Mr Waqar
Anjum, accompanied by an executive team of Human
Resource Deptt. Karachi, visited SBK Women’s University
on June 17, 2008. The team aimed at Human Resource
Development and gave a comprehensive presentation on
Habib Bank, its vision, mission and strategies. They
also located the areas where jobs could be positioned at
entry level. The presentation was followed by a
questioning answering session with the student body.
The team was provided with a visit of the University.
This proved to be a source of astonishment for them.
They lauded the magnificent work done in every arena;
especially appreciative of such an endeavor in the
province where it was needed the most. Tea was served at
Baithak Café after which Mr Zafar Aziz Osmani, SEVP/
Group Executive, Human Resource and Organizational
development Karachi, penned down the following comments
in the Visitor’s book.
“A very impressive set up for education and enhancement
of girls in Balochistan. Under the dynamic leadership of
Dr. Shahida over 2000 girls are undergoing diversified
education, restricted not only to education but also
skill building in gemology, gem-cutting going up to
finishing school, cooking grooming etc."
