MEMBERSHIP AND LOAN PRIVILEGE.

The University Central Library is primarily meant for use of Teachers, Students, Research scholars and Staffs of the university .The period of loan and numbers of books they can borrow vary depending upon their category of membership. Text books will be issued to students for a period of 5 days .A fine of Rs.10/= per book, per day will be charged for late Returns. Faculty and Staff are entitled to check out books, for a period of one semester. Incase of loss books (2) times the market price of the lost book charged or out of print titles the amount equal to two times the original purchase price of the book will be charged. Overdue charged for the late return of books are levied at the rate prescribed in a library rules. If the library users, fails to submit the replacement cost of lost or damaged material, this amount will be deputed from the ‘security deposits’ of the students in case the stipulated amount exceeds the security deposits of the student then the authorities reserved the rights to with hold the issuance of degree to the students concerned till she either replaces the lost book/material or pays the stipulated amount. The borrower books will be renewed for a further period of 5 days .If the desired books have not been reserved for other user overdue books will not be reissued. Current issues of Annual Reports, Pamphlets, Periodicals, Newspapers and A/V material, CDS, Diskettes can not be checked out .Such material is for consultation in the Library premises . Incase, a book is urgently required, the in charge of the Library may recall it at a short notice any time and such a book shall be returned immediately by the borrower. If library ticket/card is lost or damaged Rs.50/= will be charged for a new library ticket /card.
