Oasis - an area in a desert made fertile by underground water or
irrigation |

OASIS OF ROSES(Certificate Course) |
|
Combining the two, symbolizes "woman" growing, developing and blossoming through
education and knowledge which enhances not only her own personal life, but her
family, her community, and ultimately her country. Through this empowerment
comes a responsibility for women to personally "grow and blossom" within her
social framework.

The full course leading up to the Finishing School Rose Certificate is spread
over two terms. The course content taught is different for both terms, and not
subordinated to that learned in the first term, therefore following are the
dates for the two terms: |

Note: Reference is given to students applying for two terms but it is
possible to enroll for only one term. Students who are unable to attend both the
terms will not be given the “ Rose Certificate”. |

1. Personal Grooming and Etiquette |
|
Course Description: This course will
provide the students with an understanding of personal hygiene. The students
will be taught with the help of demonstrations and theory, how to take care of
her skin, hair, nails, hands and feet. Make up application will be also
demonstrated. Objectives: The key to looking your best by knowing how to take
care of your skin, hair, nails, etc. Etiquette Course Description: This course
is design to provide the students an insight into international and regional
protocol and etiquette. Classes will be given with question and answer sessions,
role playing and a wealth of illustrated examples. Objectives: To make the
students feel confident by making her aware of international and national
protocol and etiquette. |

3. Child Care Course |
Description: This course will be providing the students an introduction
to pregnancy, Child care and feeding, common childhood ailments and child
psychology.
Objectives: To make the students aware of how to take care of herself and
her baby during the pregnancy and how to look after a baby's physical and mental
health.

4. Body for Life Course |
Description: This course will be providing the students a fitness
Program. Daily exercise is as important as good nutrition to maintain a healthy
body and mind.
Objectives: To make the students aware of the importance of exercise for
a healthy body. |

5. English Learning Course |
Description: This course will be providing the students basic knowledge
of Vocabulary and use of it in speaking and writing. It will aid them to use
computer as a tool for typing and making presentations
Objectives:
1. To extend their four skills (listing, Speaking, Reading and Writing)
2. To develop their Vocabulary 3. To check their Knowledge through different
activities

6. Basic Computer Learning Course |
Description: This course will be providing the students basic knowledge
and use of computer and will aid them to use computer as a tool for typing,
designing, calculating & formulating and making presentations.
Objectives: To make the students aware of the importance of computer in
our life and use it as a tool to facilitate their work. |

7. Dress Making (Embroidery and baby garment) Course |
Description: This course is developed
to provide use full technical skill to the students. This course will help the
students to run a home more efficiently and economically.
Objective: After
completion of the course the trainee will be able to find suitable employment in
the garment manufacturing industry to produce dresses under the supervision of
skilled tailors. |

8. Community Work
|
|
In semester two of the program, the student will be required to complete 30
hours of community service not only for her own personal growth but, for the
betterment of the community. This community service will instill a sense of
pride in her national heritage while providing a necessary and needed service to
the surrounding areas. |
|
9. Kitchen Gardening Course |
|
Description: This course describe the benefits of growing the own
vegetables and its importance. In this way money can save and get good quality
vegetables from the own back garden. It's also a nice hobby for anyone with some
spare time on their hands. |

2. Food and Nutrition Course |
Description:This course will provide the student knowledge of the basic
food groups, Carbohydrates, Proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains and meats.
Healthy diets and good eating habits will be taught. Cooking methods for soups,
appetizers, main courses, deserts and mock tails will be demonstrated.
Objectives: Students will be able to prepare healthy and nutritious meals
for themselves and their families. The main objective is to impart knowledge of
nutrition and various cooking methods. |

4. Home Management and Hostessing Course
|
Description: This course is developed to provide the students with the
fundamental financial skills as well as organizational skills. This course will
help the students to run a home more efficiently and economically.
Objectives: to provide the student knowledge of basic banking and
budgeting so she can manage her money in a more responsible manner. It will also
make her more productive by managing her time in a well organized home. |

5. Hostessing Course |
Description: This course is design to provide the students a background
knowledge of the history and traditions of serving food; setting the table,
table service, service of different types of tea and coffee. Floral arrangements
and gifts wrapping will also be taught
Objectives: To make the students aware of what a good hostess is. |

Learning Outcomes |
|
To empower women with the ability and skills to manage their home more
economically, more efficiently and more effectively, to serve nutritious and
appetizing meals using the fresh produce available and to care for themselves,
their children, their homes, and their husbands in a healthy and more productive
and creative manner while celebrating the flavour and culture of Pakistan. |

Additional Information |
A “Certificate of Achievement” will be awarded .

Course The Motor Driving course is conducted by the National Motors Driving
School Quetta for the regular students / faculty of the university. Daily
practical driving lessons are given for a period of 30 days during this course |
