The main objectives of Sociology education is to promote scientific attitude among students, where they are required engage in for & open inquiry .The students should purposefully pursuer knowledge that is good for increasingly diverse needs. Thus major concern of Sociology is aimed to calculate students have meaningful like in raid change of society and Socio-economics environment. In short the discipline of Sociology is to dedicate is self to discovering ,sharing towards application of Knowledge for overall betterment for society.

The Department offered two degree program, M.A in Sociology (2 years) and B.A in Sociology (4 Years)

The first Regular admissions for M.A and B.A in Sociology program were opened in March 2004 after the test and Interview 34 student were selected for the M.A and B.A program. now department has more then 100 student, this growth shows a rapid interest of students in Sociology.
