Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU), Quetta with the collaboration of Balochistan Women Promote Talent successfully organized an impressive and well-attended ceremony on 8 December 2025 to honor outstanding faculty members through the Best Teacher Award 2025 and the Best Researcher Award. The event celebrated academic excellence, dedication to quality teaching, and impactful research contributions by the university’s faculty.
The ceremony was held at the SBKWU Rabia Basri Hall (Multipurpose Hall) and was graced by honorable Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Governor Balochistan / Chancellor PSUs, as the Chief Guest. The honorable Chief Guest was warmly welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, along with Deans, Directors, Chairpersons, faculty members, administrative officers, and students.
The program formally began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome address from the organizing committee. In his remarks, the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of SBKWU in promoting girls’ education and acknowledged the essential role of teachers and researchers in shaping an educated, progressive society. He commended the university for establishing a tradition of recognizing and rewarding merit.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, in her address, highlighted the contributions of the faculty toward strengthening the academic environment of the university. She emphasized that excellence in teaching and research is fundamental to the mission of SBKWU and praised the faculty’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards.
The Governor Balochistan in his speech appriciated the University regarding its achievements throughout the year and marked the 67% in HEC quality index compared to last year 34%.
The Best Teacher Award 2025 was presented to faculty members who demonstrated exceptional teaching performance, student engagement, pedagogical innovation, and contributions to departmental activities. The Best Researcher Award acknowledged faculty whose research output—publications, conferences, grants, and collaborations—significantly enhanced the scholarly reputation of the university.
Award recipients received certificates of excellence and shields from the Chief Guest and the Vice Chancellor, followed by appreciative applause from the audience. The recognition ceremony served as a source of inspiration for the entire academic community.
In concluding remarks, the Chief Guest congratulated the awardees and encouraged the faculty to continue contributing meaningfully to women’s education and research development in Balochistan. The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest for his presence and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to promoting a culture of academic excellence.

Today on 2/12/2025, the BOS and 1st Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) meeting of Department of Urdu was held at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta, under the chairpersonship of Dr.Bibi Tania.
The session commenced with a warm welcome to all members and participants.
Dr. Gul Gutai , Assistant Professor in Urdu from Department of Urdu UOB Quetta participated as an external expert for the evaluation of PREE policy for BS program running in the Urdu Department at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta.
During the meeting, Dr.Kiran Dawood, Dr. Qandeel Badar, Ms. Anila and Ms. Mahwish Ayaz from Faculty of Urdu department and Some guests members of BOS Ms.Sakina Ibrahim from Degree college cantt. and Dr. Farzana khuderzai from Jinnah town college and Director of QAA Dr. Tahira Mengal External expert are also present.
The team of PREE visited the classrooms, Faculty offices and departmental library and had interaction with Students and Faculty separately.
In the end a conclusive session was conducted in the presence of HoD of Urdu Department and Director QAA , External expert Dr.Gul Gutai provided comprehensive insights on PREE policy and future departmental initiatives and each point was deliberated thoroughly.

The 7th Board of Studies meeting of the Department of Microbiology was conducted at SBKWU, Quetta on 2nd December 2025, under the chairmanship of Associate Professor Dr. Naheed Haq. The Head of Department, Ms. Aleena Zafer, warmly welcomed all the guests and formally presented the meeting agenda. The Chairperson provided the members with comprehensive feedback on the revised curriculum and internship policy.
External members, including Dr. Kaleemullah Associate Professor from the University of Balochistan and Assistant Professor Ms. Samia Parveen from BUITEMS, offered valuable comments and constructive suggestions regarding the course outlines and contents of the BS Microbiology program, contributing significantly to the academic improvement process. Dr. Zainia Rehmat and Ms. Masroora Ali Khan, as internal members of the meeting, also shared insightful feedback. The Department of English conducted its first Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement PREE meeting on 28th November 2025 at 10:30 AM, which was attended by the faculty. The worthy external evaluator, Dr. Saima Yousaf Khan from University of Balochistan, department of English, with her expertise in PREE, appreciated the effective leadership of Dr. Fouzia Rehman Khan, Chairperson of the Department, for maintaining strong academic discipline and ensuring departmental preparedness. The meeting was also graced by the Dean (faculty of Arts and Humanities) Dr. Zainab Akram and the Director of Quality Assurance, Dr. Tahira Mengal, quality assurance representative Miss Chand Bibi, highlighting the institutional support for quality enhancement. She further commended the contribution of Dr. Saman Salah as the focal person for her excellent coordination, organized documentation, and professional facilitation, which made the evaluation process smooth and efficient. It is recommended to further strengthen digital documentation systems for improved accessibility and to enhance faculty development through specialized trainings and research support.
Today on 27/11/2025 , the first program review for effectiveness and enhansement (PREE) meeting of the department of Pakistan studies was held at SARDAR BAHADUR KHAN WEMEN’s university Qta, under the chairperson ship of Dr Shabana Fiaz The session commenced with a warm welcome to the all members and participents. professor Dr Usman Tobawal, Pakistan studies center from University of Balochistan participated as an external expert for the evaluation of (PREE) policy for BS program running in Pakistan studies department at SBK QUETTA. This policy wad prepaired by Sadia Saad (as focul person for PREE)
During the meeting the dean of Arts and humanities Professor. Dr.Zanaib Akram, and QA director Dr. Tahira Mengal were also present.

On 26 November 2025, the Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) meeting of the Department of Physics was held at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta, under the chairperon of Ms. Sehrish Ghafoor. The session began with a warm welcome to all members and participants.
Dr. Jafar Khan Kasi, Professor / Chairperson of Physics at the University of Balochistan, attended the meeting as the external expert to evaluate the PREE policy for the BS programs offered by the department. The policy was prepared by Ms. Sehrish Ghafoor, Ms. Sundas Zafar and Ms Saima Kiran as the focal persons for PREE.
The meeting was also attended by the Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Uzma Jabeen, and the Director QA, Dr. Tahira Mengal. As part of the review process, Dr. Jafar Khan Kasi visited the Physics laboratories.
The concluding session was held in the presence of the HOD, Director QA, and the External Expert, during which Dr. Jafar Khan Kasi shared comprehensive feedback on the PREE policy and future departmental initiatives. Each agenda point was discussed in detail.

The Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) meeting for the Department of Biochemistry was convened on 26th November 2025 at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta. The session was chaired by Dr. Irum Javid.
The proceedings commenced with formal welcoming remarks addressed to all members and participants. Prof. Dr. Asma Yousafzai, from BUITEMS, attended in the capacity of an external expert to evaluate the PREE policy for the M.Phil, and BS programs offered by the Department of Biochemistry. The policy document under review was prepared by Dr. Syeda Ayesha Ali and Dr. Irum Javid.
The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Basic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Uzma Jabeen, and the Director of Quality Assurance, Dr. Tahira Mengal. As part of the review process, Professor Dr. Asma Yousafzai conducted a site visit to the Biochemistry laboratories and held separate consultative meetings with faculty members, and students.
A conclusive session was conducted in the presence of HoD of Biochemistry Department, Director of QA and External expert in the QA office. Prof. Dr. Asma Yousafzai provided comprehensive insights on PREE policy and future departmental initiatives, and with each point being thoroughly deliberated.

The **PREE Visit** for the Media & Journalism Department was successfully conducted today, **26th November 2025**, at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta.
The session proceeded under the chairpersonship of **Prof. Dr. Aliya Ayub**, Dean Social Sciences SBKWU.
The visit was attended by the external expert **Dr. Fahim Baloch**, Chairperson, Department of Media Studies, University of Balochistan, who provided a comprehensive and objective review of the department’s academic standards and curriculum.
The meeting was organized in collaboration with **HoD Ms. Mahwish Ali**, along with faculty members **Ms. Spozmei Shah**, and the entire Media & Journalism Department team, whose dedication and preparation ensured a smooth and productive review process.

The **Media & Journalism Department** successfully conducted its **5th Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting** on **26th November 2025** at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta. The meeting was held under the chairpersonship of **Prof. Dr. Aliya Ayub**.
The session commenced with a warm welcome to all esteemed members. The Head of Department, **Ms. Mahwish Ali**, presented the agenda items for discussion and review.
External members and subject specialists from the University of Balochistan (UoB) actively participated in the meeting. Their valuable insights, constructive feedback, and professional contributions greatly enriched the session.
The Board thoroughly reviewed course outlines, updated academic requirements, and discussed future directions to strengthen the Media & Journalism program in line with modern industry needs.
The first PREE meeting for the Department of Economics was successfully held on 24 November 2025 at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta. The session proceeded under the chairpersonship of Dr. Anjum Parvez Dean (faculty of Management &Computer Sciences) in collaboration with HoD Ms. Shumaila, Dr. Hina Shafiq and Dr. Zinaz Ayesha.
Professor Dr. Munawar Shah, Dean FMCS at BUITEMS, attended as the external expert, providing an objective evaluation of the PREE policy for the BS Economics Program at SBK. It was also attended by, Dr. Tahira Mengal, Director QAA.
The external feedback shared during the review offered valuable perspectives that will strengthen the academic standards and enhance departmental effectiveness in future.
The seminar on environmental awareness for first-semester freshers aimed to strengthen their engagement through interactive learning and reinforce a collective commitment to environmental responsibility.
The seminar began with opening remarks delivered by Mr. Khalil, setting the context for the session. The session was then conducted by Dr. Nelofer Jamil Chairperson Department of Environmental Sciences who sensitized students about major environmental problems and their possible solutions, supported with recent events, data, and evidence.
Students who participated actively and responded confidently during the discussion were awarded prizes. Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor SBKWU graced the event as chief guest and presented the prizes, and appreciated the students’ efforts. Ms. Shahana Azam Provincial Manager MHM Secretariat Balochistan and Mr. Qadir Deputy PD Climate Change project ADB and representatives from UNICEF were also present there.
The event concluded with the VC’s closing remarks, emphasizing that the environment is a critical agenda and encouraging everyone to pledge their commitment toward its protection.

The Department of Psychology conducted its 1st Programme Review for Effectiveness &Enhancement (PREE) on 20 November 2025 at SBK Women’s University, Quetta, under the chairpersonship of Ms. Hina Qaisar (Head of Department).
The session opened with a warm welcome to all participants. Mr.Asmatullah, Assistant Professor of Psychology from BUITEMS Quetta, attended the meeting as the external expert for the evaluation of the PREE policy for the BS Psychology programme.
The PREE policy was prepared by Ms. Hina Qaisar (HoD) along with faculty members of the Psychology Department, including Ms. Andleeb, Ms. Nargis, and Ms. Nida. The meeting was also attended by Prof.Dr.Aliya Ayub (Dean, Social Sciences) and Dr. Tahira Mangal (Director QA).

The Department of Fine Arts held the Board of Studies meeting today on 20th November 2025 at Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta, under the chairpersonship of Prof. Dr. Aliya Ayub.
The meeting began with a warm welcome to all members. The Chairperson of the Fine Arts Department, Ms. Parveen Akhtar, presented the agenda items.
All members from well-known universities such as UOG Punjab, BUITEMS, and the University of Balochistan actively contributed to the session and appreciated the efforts of the department.
The Department of Education of SBKWU organized an event showcasing two project presentations: School Community and Teachers, supervised by Ms. Sadia Rasheed and Educational Planning and Policy, supervised by Ms. Maryam Baz. Both projects were presented by students of the 5th semester. Students from the SBKWU Model School also participated in the event, adding an engaging and collaborative dimension to the program. The Worthy Vice Chancellor of SBKWU, Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, graced the event as the chief guest. The guests of honour included Pro–Vice Chancellor Dr. Rahila Umar, Registrar Dr. Zainab Akram, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Alia Ayub and the Director of QA&A, Dr. Tahira Mengal. During the event, the chief guest and guests of honour commended the remarkable efforts and leadership of the Chairperson of the Department, Dr. Khadija Karim. They acknowledged her dedication to fostering academic excellence and creating meaningful learning opportunities for students. The Vice Chancellor further assured her full support to the Chairperson in enhancing the department’s academic standards and promoting female education across the province despite the challenges posed by tribal traditions and conservative social norms. MoU Signed Between SBKWU and Fatima Jinnah General & Chest Hospital to Strengthen Healthcare and Academic Collaboration
On 18th November, 2025 , Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU), Quetta, and Fatima Jinnah General & Chest Hospital, Quetta, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation in academic advancement and research development.
The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, SBKWU, and Prof. Dr. Shereen Khan, Executive Director, along with Dr. Ali Ahmed, Senior Chest Consultant at Fatima Jinnah General & Chest Hospital, during a ceremony held at SBKWU.
Under this collaboration, students enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program will get hands on training and practical demonstrations in the hospital’s Pathology and Diagnostic Laboratories. This initiative will play a pivotal role in strengthening students’ professional competencies by bridging the gap between classroom learning and real clinical experience.
In addition, the two institutions have agreed to pursue joint academic and research initiatives, with a particular focus on tuberculosis research, internship opportunities, and academic support for various departments of SBKWU.
The partnership further includes the organization of awareness sessions, skill-development workshops, and a range of collaborative academic activities designed to foster knowledge exchange, professional growth, and research enhancement.
This MoU underscores SBKWU’s continued commitment to building strong academic and research partnerships with leading healthcare institutions dedicated to improving community well-being.
Today on 18/11/2025, the Biochemistry and HND Department of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU), Quetta, in collaboration with the Progressive Climate Foundation (PCF), organized a one-day training session on Climate Change, Disaster Management, and First Aid. The event was coordinated under the supervision of Dr. Sabeena Rizwan and Dr. Syeda Ayesha Ali, with active organizational support from BS 3rd semester HND students Ms. Zainab Amjad and Ms. Sehar Khan.
The training was facilitated by resource persons Mr. Raheel Tariq, Mr. Arsalan, and PCF team members, along with the participation of Mr. Huzaifa Khurd, Vice President of PCF. The session focused on addressing climate risks, enhancing disaster preparedness, and providing hands-on demonstrations of first-aid techniques. Students engaged actively throughout the program, benefiting from both theoretical insights and practical demonstrations.

The Habib Bank Limited (SBKWU Br.) has arranged a National Financial Literacy Programme (NFLP) session under State Bank of Pakistan Training program at Hanna Hall of SBK Women University.
During the session, detailed guidance was provided to students on budgeting, savings, investment, debt management, Konnect accounts via HBL, and the use of digital banking services.

In her speech, Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq while addressing the students said that they came the University with a dream to achieve success.
“Our commitment is to turn your dreams into reality and the teachers will devote their abilities to serve you for the next four years”, she said and added the day was very significant for newly-admitted students.
“You got the chance for studying higher education and keep remembering those millions of youths who don’t have such an opportunity to get into university education,” she said.Dr Khoumbhati said that the administration would facilitate each student as main stakeholders to serve them, adding that studying at the university level were very different from the kind of education “they have received until now.”She said the students would have the opportunity in polishing their skills by participating in seminars and workshops along with regular classes.
She said that allotment process at hostels will be started soon in order to provide the new students with the accommodation facility.
She announced a free internet facility to the hostels and said that she will ensure provision of quality food to the students living in the dormitories.
“We are ready to facilitate the students but the thing they have to do is simply to work hard, keep friendship with books and study hard”, she said.
Addressing on the occasion, Dr. Raheela Umar, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dr. Zainab Akram, Registrar said that students arrived at SBKWU with a dream to achieve success and they would take measures to turn their dreams into reality and the teachers would devote their abilities to serve them for the next four years. “This day is very significant for newly enrolled students as they got the chance for studying higher education and keep remembering those millions of youths who don’t have such an opportunity to get into university education,” she said.
Students were briefed about the co-curricular and extracurricular activities, Rules and regulations, discipline related rules that the University offers to its students, including sports and cultural events. The aim of these activities is to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle among students and enhance their personal and social development by different representatives of Students Affairs, Financial Aid Office, Fee Collection, Warden, Transport and Controllor of Examination and Deans of thr Faculties.
The session concluded with appreciation for the efforts of all organizing committees and a warm welcome extended to the new students.
Today on 14/11/2025, the Board of Studies meeting for the Department of Education was held in Ayesha Hall at SBKWU. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, while Dr. Khadija Karim, Chairperson of the department, actively facilitated the proceedings. Members from renowned institutions such as Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan and the International Islamic University, Islamabad appreciated Dr. Khadija Karim for her commitment to uplifting educational standards, particularly her efforts to promote female education in the province. In the end, all distinguished members expressed hope that the discussed initiatives would further enhance the department’s academic standards. They appreciated the faculty’s efforts and commended the department’s continued commitment to advancing quality education, especially for women in the province.
The Department of Environmental Sciences, SBKWU, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), successfully conducted the Closing & Prize Distribution Ceremony of the initiative “Putting an end to Environmental Pollution” on 14th November 2025 at Hanna Hall.
The ceremony was honored by the gracious presence of Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, SBKWU who served as the Chief Guest. Esteemed dignitaries, Mr. Hayee Baloch from the Forest Department, Dr. Ziviqar from WASA, and Mr. Asad from FAO—also added prestige to the event with their attendance. The Chairperson, Dr. Nelofer Jamil, together with the dedicated faculty of the department, further enriched the occasion with their active support and participation.
The ceremony highlighted students’ active involvement in recycling drives, educational documentaries, and awareness campaigns. Prizes were distributed among the winners of various competitions, followed by Certificates of Participation for all contributors.

Today on 14/11/2025, the Government of Balochistan, in collaboration with Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU), organized an insightful and impactful Awareness Session under the Youth Policy Implementation Program on November 13th, 2025. The event took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall and witnessed active participation from students across various departments.
In her concluding address, Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, SBK Women’s University, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the Government of Balochistan for launching such impactful and youth-centered initiatives. Today on 14/11/2025, the SBK Women’s University Institutional Scholarship Awarding Committee (ISAC) meeting for the award of Chinese Ambassador Scholarship has been held under the chairpersonship of Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor SBKWU to review the need-based scholarship application forms and conduct interviews of the applicants.

oday on 30th , October Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University organized a one-day session in collaboration with Jarsam Consultancy and the Center of Excellence, Home Department, Balochistan.
The event began with the Recitation and National Anthem, followed by a Welcome Address by Jarsam Consultancy.
Dr. Dost Muhammad Barech, Chief Coordination Officer, Center of Excellence, delivered the Opening Remarks.

Today on 29/10/2025, The Department of Social Work organized a Blood Donation Camp today in collaboration with the Fatimid Foundation and Kar-e-Kamal for Thalassemia patients. A total of 52 blood bags were donated by the students of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU).
The event was graced by the presence of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, who distributed shields and certificates among the faculty members of SBKWU and the teams of Fatimid Foundation and Kar-e-Kamal. Today on 29/10/2025, the Department of Islamic Studies, under the supervision of Dr. Fehmida Baloch, organized a vibrant and heartwarming celebration in honor of the Turkish Independence Day. The event aimed to express solidarity, unity, and brotherhood between Pakistan and Türkiye, reflecting the deep-rooted friendship and shared cultural and spiritual values of the two nations.
The honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was further enriched by the virtual participation of esteemed Turkish scholars Prof. Dr. Doğan Kaplan, Dr. Mühsin İşsever, Dr. Habip Öz and Dr. Amjad Mehmood Hüsain, who joined from Türkiye. Their words of appreciation and encouragement strengthened the sense of academic and cultural partnership between the two countries. The program commenced with the national anthems of Pakistan and Türkiye, symbolizing the brotherhood and unity shared by both nations. The students of the 3rd Semester, Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), organized a Gratitude Ceremony to celebrate the establishment of their new department and to express their appreciation for the academic facilities provided by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, and the Registrar, Dr. Zainab Akram, of SBKWU.
The ceremony began with the formal inauguration of the department by Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Honorable Vice Chancellor, who cut the ribbon and was presented with a bouquet by the students of MLT. Dr. Syeda Ayesha Ali Lecturer Department of Biochemistry and Dr Iram Javed, HoD BioChemistry Department arranged the Microbe Arts Competition and Exhibition display between the students of 5th and 3rd semester.
A number of students showcased their work which was also evaluated by a jury.
Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, SBKWU was invited as a Guest of Honor for the event. Dr. Zainab Akram, Registrar along with Dean and faculty from various departments were also present.
The exhibitions showcased creative concepts and material exploration.
At the end, Vice Chancellor appreciated the students and faculty for the said extra curriculum activity and distribution of the certificates amongst the winner and participants.
On 23/10/2025, Ms. Sadf Faizullah, Deputy Director Sports SBKWU organized SBK Interdepartmental Women Indoor Cricket Championship at SBKWU and final match has been played between the top teams, which was witness by Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor SBKWU as Chief Guest and Mr. Yasir Bazai, DG Sports, GoB as Guest of Honor along with Mr. Mansoor, President and Syed Tayyab Shah, General Secretary of Women Indoor Cricket Associate.
During the event, the Rope Skipping championship was also conducted.
At the end, the trophy has been handed over to the winner side by the guests and the group photo also snapped for memories.

MoU Signed Between SBKWU and AIMS to Strengthen Healthcare and Academic Collaboration

Quetta, September 25, 2025 – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU), Quetta, and Aria Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Quetta, to promote cooperation in healthcare and academic development.

The agreement was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor, SBKWU, and Dr. Sohail Khan, CEO, AIMS, during a ceremony held at SBKWU.

Under the MoU, AIMS will provide quality healthcare services to SBKWU faculty, staff, their families, and students at discounted rates. In addition, both institutions agreed to collaborate on academic and research initiatives, with a special focus on women empowerment, internships, academic support, specialized training, and practical demonstrations for Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) students.

The partnership also includes the organization of awareness sessions, skill-building workshops, and joint activities aimed at strengthening knowledge exchange, professional development, and community outreach.

This MoU reflects SBKWU’s continued commitment to building strong academic linkages while ensuring affordable healthcare facilities for its academic fraternity.

The Pro Vice Chancellor of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University (SBKWU), Dr. Rahila Umer Sumalani, participated as a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Women: “Women Shaping the Future: Innovation, Resilience, and Leadership”, held on 24th–25th September 2025 at the Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Mosque Campus, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).

A delegation of the Vice Chancellors comprising Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez from BUITEMS, Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Bazai from UoB and Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed from UoM at Panjgur on the invitation of Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor SBKWU has paid a visit to SBKWU today on 26/8/2025.The delegation met with the Vice Chancellor in her office and discussions have been made on mutual interest, research cooperation and research based faculty development amongst the PSUs of Balochistan. Additionally, the delegation visited the research laboratories of the University and a short brief was given to the delegation regarding facilities available in the laboratories.
The staff, faculty, and administrators expressed their gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and celebrated the successful convening of the Senate meeting after five years. The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University, Quetta has successfully luanched a three-day innovative workshop titled “Design Tomorrow: Artificial Intelligence for Smarter Web Solutions” from 17th to 19th September 2025. The primary objective of this workshop was to equip faculty members with the latest knowledge and skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application in modern web technologies, ensuring they stay updated with global technological advancements and a total of 47 faculty members from various departments of SBK Women’s University actively participated in the training. The participants showed great enthusiasm and interest in learning about AI-powered solutions, web development trends, and their integration into research and teaching methodologies.

SBKWU celebrated Independence day 2025 with zest and zeal today. During the event, a flag hoisting ceremony was held and Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor hoisted the flag and Quetta Police saluted the national flag.The university’s staff and pupils from SBK Model School witnessed the event.

A delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) led by Syed Arsalan, Senior Program Manager (UNODC) visited the SBKWU, Quetta and called on to Prof. Dr. Rubina Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor SBKWU on 15/7/2025. During the meeting mutual understanding and cooperation among the both institutions were discussed. Later on, Vice Chancellor gave them a short visit to the University departments.
